Happy Times…

In the last week I’ve been blessed with some wonderful experiences.

Firstly, our stand at the Paper Crafting Expo on the weekend went well. Adults and children alike loved out ‘make n take’ – so it was worth the effort to prepare all the Paper Pal people. Below is my fellow consultant Chris Lothian in action teaching the Paper Pals and some of the creations that some of the kids who participated made. We even had a group of sister decide to spend their pocket money on buying some of our Paper Pal packs so that they can make them at home later. So I think I’m onto a winner with my Paper Pal birthday party idea (see last weeks blog post for more details).

Meeting new people at events like this is something I love. Over the years I’ve meet some wonderful people that have started as customers and become friends or even part of my crafty family. It’s been amazing to craft with these people and help them preserve their precious memories and celebrate life events.

Secondly I got to indulge my passion for creativity and teaching in one go. As a Consultant we are offered a very unique training opportunities – these are all generally hands on and involve lots of creativity and fun projects. This month (yesterday in fact) it was my turn to lead one of these training day and share with with crafty mates some project ideas for next months featured paper pack “Feels Like Home“. This is a beautiful monotone paper pack that you can then add your own accent colour in to the mix.

So I wanted to give you all a sneak peak of this day and the projects that we created.

These cards are an adaption of the Workshop Your Way Love At First Sight Carmaking Kit. It uses the materials and some extra stamp sets and thin cuts. I’m now making these instructions available to you to purchase. You can either purchase the full WYW kit from my website or just the instructions below.

If you’re a local customer we will be making some of these in my card classes in April. Check out my events for further information.

Until next time

Note: Some of the links go through to my CTMH website and I do get a small commission from any purchases. I thank you in advance for this as it helps me to purchase more supplies with which to create and share projects with you.

Kids Party Activity… Paper Pals

So I’ve spent the last few days stamping and cutting out these really cute paper dolls with our CTMH Paper Pals sets, in preparation for a “make n take” that we are doing at the Bendigo From Picture to Page and Beyond Expo next weekend. Using up my scraps of pattern papers I had heaps of fun making the clothing for the dolls.

My girls watched my avidly whilst I made these kits up for “my ladies” (as my girls call my customers). Then Siena had the great idea that she wanted her friends to make the dolls at her birthday party (not until October mind you….). And she even wants to send them home in the party goody bags.

Not to be out done Olivia wants to make them at her party too in June… looks like I will be making these for a while to come… but it got me thinking that other people might like to be making them too – for their own projects, or even for kids parties too. After all they are pretty cute…

So you have options – you can purchase you own set (the pieces are also available separately too. Check out the options here. Another alternative is that I will be selling bundles – 6 bodies, 6 sets of clothes, 6 hair dos. If you can’t make it to the expo next weekend you are welcome to order some too. Follow the link below. The price includes postage.

I see a lot of these in my future.

Workshop Your Way Love….

I don’t know about you all, but as a busy mum of young kids I’m always time poor and looking for ways to scrapbook our memories quickly. The CTMH Workshop Your Way Kits have been my life saver. These are designed by the amazing art team at the CTMH home office. But I always find that I’m then not using my left overs. My customers are often the same.

So this year I have been creating extra layouts with the instructions to share with them. And I thought I’d share some with you guys too.

These first three layouts are following the WYW instructions, with a few minor additions of some White Daisy Cardstock for bases to save some of the fun patterned paper that would have been hidden behind other pieces.

Then working with the left overs and some extra cardstock I created…

I was very happy with the results and had very little of the WYW pack left. I shared this with my WYW Class group in January. I’d love to hear what you think of these pages, my kids aren’t the best judge… they love anything that has photos of them on it.

If you’d like to create these layouts you can purchase the Something Fierce WYW Kit here. I will then email you my extra instructions FREE. The instructions include all a list of the extra cardstock required, tools used, cutting instructions and copies of the photos of my layouts.

For my fellow CTMH consultants you are welcome to order the instructions file to create with your own supplies and use it to grow your own business. These can be used in a Workshop setting. Australian consultants you have the option to purchase the instructions for $15 or place an order of $30 on my WEBSITE and get the file for FREE.

Consultants outside of Australia can purchase the instructs for $15 AUD.

Re-launch

I am very excited to be at my computer and blogging for you today…. since my earlier attempts life has got crazy. I’m now a mum of 3 beautiful children. Two are now at school and one in 3yr old Kindergarten. I’m still working my day job as a Art/Photography teacher at a school and madly running around with my CTMH business. This photo shows my family in August last year.

But all this hasn’t stopped me creating. And I still love to share all of that. So thus the re-vist to my blog. I want to share my creations with you and give you a chance to make them your own too.

So over the coming weeks this blog site will develop more and you’ll be able to book into my classes through here, purchase copies of workshop instructions and more. It’s a big watch this space.

I hope you’ll join me for the journey. The intention is to also share little anecdotes about being a crafty parent too.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting
