Cardstock Carnival

Welcome aboard our Australasian CTMH Blog Hop featuring one of our favourite products – the CTMH Dual Tone White Core Cardstock. CTMH have 40 coloured cardstock that have a dark and a light side of each colour – thus there is really 80 different coloured card stocks.

If you’ve joined in from ArtyMaz then you are in the right place. If not, don’t stress. A blog hop is a circle. You can just follow the link at the end to the next blog for more great cardstock ideas.

Today I’d like to share with you some scrapbooking layouts that are using very minimal patterned and non cardstock specialty papers. The cardstock in these layouts has been altered by stamping, stenciling, splattering

In this first layout I love the sponging through a stencil with some ink in the same colour as the cardstock. In this instance I have used the light side of the cardstock, thus the ink appears darker. The lighter pink strips have been stamped on to make them appear like patterned paper.

In this layout I have used coloured cardstock circles, some stamped and some not, these were then stuck onto larger white circles and the overhang trimmed off. I love how effective this looks.

Again more stamping and stenciling. The “Then” heading has been cut on the Cricut machine (an Electronic Cutting machine). The CTMH cardstock is wonderful to cut this way. ON the left side you can see the triangles have had their corners folded over to show off both tones of the coloured cardstock. ON the right side the cardstock pieces that anchor the flowers to the page have torn edges to highlight the white core.

I just love to be able to create my own pattern papers with cardstock and inks. It is so much fun. For those on a budget – using cardstock this way is cheaper than the pattern papers.

For the month of March the CTMH Cardstock is on special, there are a huge variety of bundles for you to choose from. Be sure to ask your CTMH Maker about it. If you don’t have a Maker you can check it out here with me. And if you’re a VIP you can still earn your special credits on cardstock purchases. If you not a VIP find out more here.

Before you head off I’d love it if you could leave a comment. Next stop is Scrapping and More with Doreen.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting
