Wow, 2022 disappeared very fast. And for me personally it got very busy on many levels and this blog was put onto the back burner. But I’m back in 2023 with some fun new crafty goals, that I’d like to share with you.
365 Scrapbook Layouts in 2023!!! Yeap, that means one layout a day. By layout I mean a single page. So when I make a double page spread it counts as two layouts.
And I’ve been busy – already I’ve made 4 layouts. I’m starting with the easy things – updating the kids school albums. These are already planned and in most cases the base pages are put together – or at least cut. And going forward I’ve got a heap of layouts made that I need to put photos on, I think there are like 100 or so of those. All those beautiful layouts I’ve made as samples for classes etc and just didn’t put photos on them yet.

That’s goal one.
Goal two is to create 23 cards a month. I based a lot of my goals with a reference to 23 – I love listening to Gretchen Rubin’s Happiness podcast – she has the goal 23 in 23 – that is 23 minutes outside everyday. whilst I haven’t started that yet, it is on the plan – I’ve got a heap of inspirations ready for me getting into it.
Plus I have a few UFOs (Un-Finished Objects) in my craft room – a few unfinished albums from holidays etc that I need to get done and onto the shelf rather than in a box under my craft table.
I have goals to attend an art gallery each month and to do at least one art journaling class a month. I love art journaling. But it tends to get pushed to the side. But if I book into a class then I’ll go and I’ll love it.
And ultimately I’d like to scrapbook 2023 as we go. I’m not sure exactly what format that will take yet – but I think I’ll aim for 4 double spreads a month.
Yeap they are some big goals. But even if I don’t make them, I’ll get some things done. And planning now to do some of them is the first step.
Wishing you all a great start to the new year.
Until next time,
Happy Crafting
Danielle
