National Scrapbooking Month

Did you know that May is National Scrapbooking Month? Well it is and I’d like you to join our Australasian Close To My Heart Blog Hop with lots of ideas.

If you have arrived here from Doris’ Creative Inspirations then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

As you would guess National Scrapbooking Month is mostly about Scrapbooking, however at Close To My Heart they have developed a beautiful product collection entitled Dream Maker and with it some Scrapbooking, Mini Album and Card Making Workshops too.

So today I want to share with you a card that I created, inspired by the multimedia style of these Dream Maker stencils and stamps combined with another favourite of mine in the current seasonal catalogue – the Butterfly Slimline Embossing Folder and Stencils (Z4698) – which I think is a real bargain at $A21.50.

The black butterflys represent the embossing folder and the the grey images are the stencils. So I embossed white daisy cardstock and then brushed the CTMH exclusive inks through the stencils with the blending brush (Z4572). I then stamped onto with a grey ink using the dream maker stamp set – the text block in particular. I didn’t even used a stamp block as I wanted the uneven look of free form stamping. I just held the stamp in my fingers and just inked up small areas of it. I did the same with one of the distressed line stamps too. Hope you like my finished results of two slimline cards.

This Cream Maker Collection can be ordered in bundles or kits.  Individual components can be ordered from your CTMH Maker. This special offer is available until the end of July WSL.  Contact your CTMH Maker to place an order. If you do not have a Maker please contact me or place an order here.

Don’t forget as a VIP you can earn 15% back in CTMH Cash credits on all purchases. Not a VIP go here for more information.

I’d love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, The Scrapbooking Photographer.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting
