Beach Boardwalk Birthday Card

Round 4 of Card Chain Swap Cards that we started in November. It’s a fun journey with 9 other Australian demonstrators. It is a card version of what is called “Chinese Whispers” in Australia. Each of us designed a card (in mailing round 1) and sent it off to one of the other participants. That person CASE-d (Copy And Share Everything / Copy And Selectively Edit) the card and send their version on to the next person. The card made its way around until finally a version came home to the maker. This is the second card in this series of blog hops for each of the card designs to share the fun and amazement at the evolution.

My card below was the last version of the card made by Carolina Evans, another fellow Victorian. So if you want to see how the design started out be sure to check hers out first and follow around in order. Some of the ladies blog and some share to their Facebook Pages (or both).

To create this card I used Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Papers (#166820) – selecting one patter as the mat piece, and then two pattern to cover the top and bottom of the main piece. The Happy Birthday day stamp is from the “Layered Thoughts” stamp set (#165346) and stamped in Secret Sea Ink (#165285). The edges of the white piece that I stamped it on are torn to give the rough edge. And some bling from my stash.

Ooh, so clever to use DSP for this and to reinterpret the masking to be a torn piece of paper that’s actually on top.
