Smitten

Hello and welcome aboard our mini Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. There are only two of us this time around. So myself and Doreen hope you like our creations.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart Smitten collection. Whilst this has been aimed at celebrations of Valentines Day I wanted to show you that you can use it for anything.

To create this cute little Koala, I stamped him in Intense Black Ink and coloured with Tri-blend Markers. I used the heart die from the set to cut a heart from patterned paper and adhered it over the original stamped heart. The Happy Birthday stamp is from D2052 For All Occasions. And the sequin came from Z4059 Crafty Loose Sequins.

This exclusive Smitten collection is only available until the end of February WSL. Individual components can also be ordered from your CTMH Maker. If you do not have a Maker please contact me or place an order here.

If you’d like to get a 15% spending credit back on all your orders be sure to sign up as a CTMH VIP Customer with your CTMH Maker. If you don’t have a Maker you can sign up as a VIP with me here.

I’d love you to leave a comment before heading off. And if you haven’t already seen Doreen‘s creations before to check them out.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting

Let’s Get Geometrical!

Welcome to our January Technique Blog Hop where it’s all “Let’s Get Geometrical”. There are so many ways to incorporate geometrical shapes into your creations and I can’t wait for you to see the awesome creations from our participants. If you are coming from Michelle Johns you are on the right track. You can find a complete list of participants at the bottom of this post.

I decided to pair hexagons up with the Sweet As Honey Papers (X7276S). It’s a perfect match. So I used the Stitched Hexagon Dies that CTMH sold in a previous Annual Catalogue – but if you have a cricut or similar machine or dies of your own you could do that same. Or even freehand cut the shapes. To get a variety of patterns I also cut some of the hexagons from the Sweet As Honey Picture My Life Cards (X7276D). The cardstock frames for each photo were cut using the Stitched Square Frames dies (Z4249) and Stitched Rectangle Frames dies (Z4260). I’ve used some of the stickers and the cork adhesive shapes (X7276E) to add extra details to this layout.

Individual components I’ve mentioned above can be ordered from your CTMH Maker. If you do not have a Maker please contact me or place an order here.

If you’d like to get a 15% spending credit back on all your orders be sure to sign up as a CTMH VIP Customer with your CTMH Maker. If you don’t have a Maker you can sign up as a VIP with me here.

I appreciate you stopping by and encourage you to continue making your way around the hop to see what the others have created to share with you! I’d love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop, Melissa. Happy hopping!

Sweet As Honey

Hello and welcome aboard our Sweet As Honey Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Arty Maz then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart Featured collection “Sweet As Honey”. I’ve take a design that was intended for a slim line card and created it on a 4 1/4 x 5 1/2″ card. I’ve used the Z4403 Sweet As Honey – Cardmaking stamps and thin cut. I’ve kept the width of the black cardstock and the striped pattern the same on each card, changing the height. On the small card I changed the height of the black strip at the base of the flowers. On the smaller car I choose not to have and white edge so as to show as much of the flowers as I could. The cute X7276E Sweet As Honey Cork Shapes are fun to use too. I love that they are self adhesive.

This exclusive  collection is only available While Stocks Last. The Scrapbooking Workshop can be yours for just $62.  Individual components can also be ordered from your CTMH Maker. If you do not have a Maker please contact me or place an order herehttps://scrappychicks.closetomyheart.com.au/.

Sweet Little Things

Hello and welcome aboard our Januay Stamp Of The Month “Sweet Little Things” Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Scrapping And More with Doreen then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s January Stamp of the Month – Sweet Little Things. Ive chosen to combine it with the NEW Sweet As Honey paper collection. It was released today (1st January 2022). On the layout I’ve sponged some Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide ink onto the white daisy cardstock base. The newsprint pieces of paper have been distressed – using the leathering technique. This is where you spritz the paper with water – you scruch it up and then flatten out again. Once it dried I rubbed Shortbread Ink over it lightly. The raised areas picked up the ink.

This exclusive D-size Sweet Little Things stamp set (only available in January) can be yours for just $9, when you place an order of $80 or more! OR FREE for VIP Customers with qualifying order of $80. If you do not have a consultant please contact me or place an order here.

I’d love you to leave a comment before heading off to the next stop ArtyMaz.

Until next time,

Owl Love You Forever

Hello and welcome aboard our December Stamp Of The Month Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop.

If you have arrived here from Passionate About Pages then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s December Stamp of the Month – Owl Love Your Forever S2112.

This creation was inspired by a technique that my Maker friend Janice Gilhooley inspired. It involves using one of the CTMH stencils of your choice. Sponging distress oxide ink, of your choice, through the sponge. Clean stencil. Add versa mark ink. And then heat emboss with clear embossing powder. Let cool. Then sponge over another distress oxide ink over the top. Use a tissue to run the excess ink off the embossing. The Santa hat came from the D2007E Months of the Year – December stamp set. I coloured with red shimmer brush and added some stickles gel.

This exclusive D-size Owl Love You Forever S2112 stamp set (only available in December) can be yours for just $9, when you place an order of $80 or more! OR FREE for VIP Customers with qualifying order of $80. If you do not have a consultant please contact me or place an order here.

I’d love you to leave a comment before heading off. It’s a short little hop this month with only two of us. But if you’ve missed Passionate About Pages then hop that way.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart Deck The Palms collection. This is a fun summer beach/tropical pack that has been cleverly designed that it can be used for Summer Christmas. Perfect for us Down Under. This time around I’ve chosen to use it to scrapbook some photos from my recent Hawaiian Luau Weekend Retreat. My friend and fellow Maker Chris Lothian has had me teaming up paper collections with other patterned papers from the Annual Catalogue. So this time it’s the Textures Paper Pack (x8031). My layout is one of Chris’ too – however I’ve changed up the papers to use the green and blue patterns. I’ve used Raspberry Cardstock to help bring out the flowers in my Hawaiian shirt and in the decorations.

This exclusive Deck The Palms collection is only available until the end of December, WSL.There is a array of bundles on offer and individual components can also be ordered from your CTMH Maker. If you do not have a Maker please contact me or place an order here. (But only if you’re Australian – sorry my international friends, I can’t sell to you yet.).

Holiday Cards

Hello and welcome aboard our Holiday Cards Close to My Heart Blog Hop. If you have arrived here from Becca-Expressions then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.

Today I’d like to share with you some Holidays Cards that I created using my left overs from a Holly & Ivy paper packet and the stamp set Holly & Ivy Scrapbooking (D2050). The sentiment came from D2052 For All Occasions. And yes these are very typical Christmas cards for me – where I am using a lot of strips.

For those who follow my blog, yes there cards do resemble cards I shared last month using Holly & Ivy papers and PML cards. I said then that I’d be back with more cards from these fabulous papers. Again I am using up all the bits and pieces that I had left after creating layouts and other cards. I don’t know about you, but I always seem to end up with lots of odd strips in a variety of thicknesses. There are off cuts from PML cards, there are left over Holly & Ivy Die Cuts, and of course zip strips. I’ve stamped in Candy Apple Exclusive Stamp Pad and the Intense Black Stamp Pad. I just love the rich black that it gives when you stamp. on some cards I’ve added some Gold Glitter Gems too.

To check out the range of supplies to create your Holiday Cards please contact your Maker. If you don’t have a Maker you can message me or check out my website.

Before you head off to the next stop I’d love you to leave a comment. Next stop Stamp with Stefani. If you’ve got lost along the way, or would like to see a full list of participants please go here.

Until next time,

Happy Crafting
