And I’m back… with the next instalment of Card Chain Swap Cards that we started in April. It’s a fun journey with 9 other Australian demonstrators. It is a card version of what is called “Chinese Whispers” in Australia. Each of us designed a card (in mailing round 1) and sent it off to one of the other participants. That person CASE-d (Copy And Share Everything / Copy And Selectively Edit) the card and send their version on to the next person. The card made its way around until finally a version came home to the maker. This is the second card in this series of blog hops for each of the card designs to share the fun and amazement at the evolution.
My card below was the 2nd version of the card made by Heather. So, if you want to see how the design started out be sure to check hers out first and follow around in order. Some of the ladies’ blog and some share to their Facebook Pages (or both).

For my version of the card I have used the ‘Artisan Sketch Garden’ Designer Series Paper (#167752). I fussy cut the flower vases and adhered them closer together on a white card base. The colouring on the flowers was with Crisp Cantaloupe Shimmer Brush (#167661).
The crips cantaloupe cardstock frame was cut using the Phrases & Frames Dies (#167586). If you haven’t used these yet they are some of Stampin’ Up!’s exclusive Cut and Emboss dies. Cut and emboss with the same die! The Phrases & Frames Dies are cutting dies that include embossing details. Just run a die through your Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine once to cut the paper, then run it through again using the Impressions Plate to emboss. This gives a more raised embossing pattern that if you used normal dies to emboss with the Impressions Plate as they are deeper profile – similar to the way the 3D embossing folders work. The white sentiment piece was also cut using these dies.
The sentiment (from the Phrases & Frames Stamp Set) was stamped in Crisp Cantaloupe Classic Stampin Pad. The ribbon is the Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon (#165599) and the butterflies are from 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies (#167656).

Until next time, happy crafting.
