Yay! A new series of Card Chain Swap Cards that we started in April is here. It’s a fun journey with 9 other Australian demonstrators. It is a card version of what is called “Chinese Whispers” in Australia. Each of us designed a card (in mailing round 1) and sent it off to one of the other participants. That person CASE-d (Copy And Share Everything / Copy And Selectively Edit) the card and send their version on to the next person. The card made its way around until finally a version came home to the original maker. This is the first card in this series of blog hops for each of the card designs to share the fun and amazement at the evolution.

My card below was the 3rd version of the card made by Nancy Hoteker, another fellow Victorian. So, if you want to see how the design started out be sure to check hers out first and follow around in order. Some of the ladies’ blog and some share to their Facebook Pages (or both).

For my version of this card, I chose to use papers from the “Beautiful Ordinary Life’ Designer Series Paper and Sticker Pack (#167560) in the background layers on a Black Cardstock Cardbase. On the white cardstock panel I splattered some Golden Gllow Shimmer Brush (#167662). The cute bees unfortunately are now retired, but I just love them. And adding some journal pen lines to help make my bees feel more alive.

This fancy fold card was very simple to make. You simply fold back the card front and flatten the fold with your bone folder – or you could score down the centre and fold back too if you prefer. Then you add the centre panel to the top fold layer. I matched the inside panels so that they are sitting directly underneath, hiding it perfectly with its hidden sentiment. On the back of the card I placed a panel to allow for the senders message to be added easily.
