Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart Featured collection “Cake Day”. I love the bright colours and fun stickers and stamps of this collection.
It is always fun to use up left over embellishments and be able to add some stamped extras. To create this I traced around a plate then added a dashed line with my journaling pen. I sponged some ink into the middle and stamped some stars. After placing my photo mats and heading I filled the space around the circle with stamped images, stickers and bling. If you give it a go be sure to let me know.
This exclusive Cake Day collection is only available until the end of April WSL.The Scrapbooking Workshop can be yours for just $70.50. Individual components can also be ordered from your CTMH Maker. Welcome aboard our Australasian CTMH Blog Hop featuring one of our favourite products – the CTMH Dual Tone White Core Cardstock. CTMH have 40 coloured cardstock that have a dark and a light side of each colour – thus there is really 80 different coloured card stocks.
If you’ve joined in from ArtyMaz then you are in the right place. If not, don’t stress. A blog hop is a circle. You can just follow the link at the end to the next blog for more great cardstock ideas.
Today I’d like to share with you some scrapbooking layouts that are using very minimal patterned and non cardstock specialty papers. The cardstock in these layouts has been altered by stamping, stenciling, splattering
In this first layout I love the sponging through a stencil with some ink in the same colour as the cardstock. In this instance I have used the light side of the cardstock, thus the ink appears darker. The lighter pink strips have been stamped on to make them appear like patterned paper.
In this layout I have used coloured cardstock circles, some stamped and some not, these were then stuck onto larger white circles and the overhang trimmed off. I love how effective this looks.
Again more stamping and stenciling. The “Then” heading has been cut on the Cricut machine (an Electronic Cutting machine). The CTMH cardstock is wonderful to cut this way. ON the left side you can see the triangles have had their corners folded over to show off both tones of the coloured cardstock. ON the right side the cardstock pieces that anchor the flowers to the page have torn edges to highlight the white core.
I just love to be able to create my own pattern papers with cardstock and inks. It is so much fun. For those on a budget – using cardstock this way is cheaper than the pattern papers.
For the month of March the CTMH Cardstock is on special, there are a huge variety of bundles for you to choose from. Be sure to ask your CTMH Maker about it. If you don’t have a Maker you can check it out here with me. And if you’re a VIP you can still earn your special credits on cardstock purchases. If you not a VIP find out more here.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s March Stamp of the Month S2203 You’re the GOAT.
To create this card for my daughter’s upcoming birthday (not till October, but I’m trying to be organised), I used a star shaker foam that I’d created as part of a demo one time. I added the number stickers – from the As You Grow sticker sheet. The sequins are a retired Julep colour that I thought worked nicely with the As You Grow papers. My daughter choose the stamp – although she didn’t know why at the time. So I used the matching sentiment from the stamp set. I stamped in Harbour Ink. And to finish it off I used a small strip of Harbour glitter paper.
This exclusive D-size You’re the GOAT stamp set (S2203 only available in March) can be yours for just $9, when you place an order of $80 or more! OR FREE for VIP Customers with qualifying order of $80. If you do not have a consultant please contact me or place an order here.

Hello and welcome aboard our Australasian “Chantilly” Close to My Heart Blog Hop. My beautiful friend Shaunna and I are doing a little blog hop – it’s nice an quick – just the two of us. So be sure to check out her creations over at Passionate About Pages.
Today I would like to share with you another creation which features Close To My Heart Featured collection “Chantilly”.
I was inspired by the photo that has my crochet square, so I decided to do a bit of a square “patchwork” int he background. Then I used the rather bold pattern that has the red on the pink (it was a bit hard on my eyes in large doses, but I love it) as photo mats. I also used a Jade Green LePen to add a doodle boarder and in the journaling. I added some stickers. The title “full of smiles” was a larger sticker – so I cut it in half to spread it across the page.
This exclusive Chantilly collection is only available until the end of February WSL. Individual components can also be ordered from your CTMH Maker. If you do not have a Maker please contact me or place an order here.
If you’d like to get a 15% spending credit back on all your orders be sure to sign up as a CTMH VIP Customer with your CTMH Maker. If you don’t have a Maker you can sign up as a VIP with me here.

Welcome to our February Technique Blog Hop where it’s all “Stunning Stencils”. There are so many ways to use stencils on your creations and I can’t wait for you to see the awesome creations from our participants. If you are coming from Krista Hersberger then you’re in the right place. If not I invite you to join on in. If you get a bit lost you can find the full list here.
Today I’d like to share with you one card in two different colour ways. I’ve used the Card Front Stencil Pack #1 (Z4341), along with Distress Oxide Inks (Candied Apple Z3826, Spiced Marmalade Z3829, Mustard Seed Z3830, Chipped Sapphire Z3834, Mermaid Lagoon Z4521, and Peacock Feathers Z3833). I used the Mini Ink Blending Tools (Z3886) to pounce the ink through the stencil. I took extra care to not rub too much as some of the parts of the stencil are fine and I didn’t want to damage them.
To create the flowers I cut cardstock petal layers using the Layered Flowers Die Set (Z4324) in Candy Apple and Harbour colours. I took care to cut every second layer from the lighter side of the card stock. So when stacked together i had dark side, light side, dark side, etc. Before sticking together I spritzed the layers with water to soften the cardstock and then scrunched them into balls. I opened them back out and then stuck them together with Liquid Glass (Z679). In the centre of each flower I’ve used Bitty Beads (Z3783 & Z3784), again stuck in with liquid glass. I love how it dried clear on what ever you use it on.
Individual components I’ve mentioned above can be ordered from your CTMH Maker. If you do not have a Maker please contact me or place an order here.
If you’d like to get a 15% spending credit back on all your orders be sure to sign up as a CTMH VIP Customer with your CTMH Maker. If you don’t have a Maker you can sign up as a VIP with me here.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart Bring Back My Pack collection “Chantilly”. I remember this pack with fondness, it was one of the first packs that CTMH bought to Australia back in 2013. It is back and has been refreshed with new colours that match our current colour options and the bit I love most is the white base colour on the larger pattern pieces. The new sticker sheet is divine too. For those who remember this pack it originally came with some chipboard die cuts.
For this layout I’ve taken inspiration from one I created as part of the January Album Retreat that CTMH ran. It follows a fairly monochromatic colour palette, Chantilly uses Flamingo, which is a pink I love. So I decided to highlight that, whilst still adding the other pops of colour that the paper features. To balance the layout I used the stickers to add the same colours in the left page. In addition to the Chantilly Collection I’ve added some retired pink glitter paper that I had in my stash.
I showed this to my children last night and they loved it. Especially my little boy, Harry, this was the first time he’d let the hairdresser cut his hair so that it would spike.
This exclusive Chantilly collection is only available until the end of February WSL. There is a variety of bundles or you can purchase items separately from your CTMH Maker. If you do not have a Maker please contact me or place an order here.

Hello and welcome aboard our Australasian Close to My Heart Sawyer Blog Hop.
If you have arrived here from Scissors Paper Heart then you are in the right place. If you landed here by accident, no problem, please join in by following the link at the end of this post.
Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart Featured collection “ Sawyer”. I choose to use the off cuts that I had left after cutting and creating the Sawyer Cardmaking Workshop (G1248 – this has been so popular it’s currently out of stock with more expected later this month.). I’ve added in some shimmer brush, in the retired Sugar Plum colour, and some shimmer trim – I had some left over Pink that I decided to use up. Plus some Crafty Loose Sequins (Z4059) and a Wood Hearts (Z6012).
I choose to use some patterns from the Make It From Your Heart Vol 4 How To Book. This has lots of card patterns. I turned the orientation of the card to landscape rather than portrait, for the second card.
This exclusive Sawyer collection is only available while stocks last. The Scrapbooking Workshop can be yours for just $62. Individual components can also be ordered from your CTMH Maker. If you do not have a Maker please contact me or place an order here.

Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart’s February Stamp of the Month – Here’s the Story (S2202). At first glance this stamp is very Memory Keeping Orientated. But I wanted to do something different. I love the brackets, and that “I love you most” sentiment. And the current Smitten paper pack (CC12217) begged to be added to that sentiment.
So I took some strips of the papers and the zip strips. I did a variety of edge distressing on the pieces – from tearing to expose the white core, to scraping with the out edge of my scissors, and even the old CTMH edge distressing tool. I stamped the sentiment and bracket, and then fussy cut them. Raising it up with foam tape. Some Gold Embellishment Thread (Z4054) and some black acrylic hearts (Z6014) to finish off.
This exclusive D-size Here’s The Story stamp set (only available in February) can be yours for just $9, when you place an order of $80 or more! OR FREE for VIP Customers with qualifying order of $80. If you do not have a consultant please contact me or place an order here. If you’d like more info about becoming a VIP go here.
Hello and welcome aboard our mini Australasian Close to My Heart Blog Hop. There are only two of us this time around. So myself and Doreen hope you like our creations.
Today I would like to share with you a creation which features Close To My Heart Smitten collection. Whilst this has been aimed at celebrations of Valentines Day I wanted to show you that you can use it for anything.
To create this cute little Koala, I stamped him in Intense Black Ink and coloured with Tri-blend Markers. I used the heart die from the set to cut a heart from patterned paper and adhered it over the original stamped heart. The Happy Birthday stamp is from D2052 For All Occasions. And the sequin came from Z4059 Crafty Loose Sequins.
This exclusive Smitten collection is only available until the end of February WSL. Individual components can also be ordered from your CTMH Maker. If you do not have a Maker please contact me or place an order here.
